Residents of the USA and countries of our region are allowed to enter Montenegro, restaurants can work until 1:00 a.m.

The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases decided today, at the suggestion of the Public Health Institute of Montenegro and given the stabilisation of the epidemiological situation in our region, to allow residents of all countries in the region and residents of the United States of America to enter Montenegro with adequate PCR or ELISA test and to allow catering facilities to work until 1:00 a.m.

The Public Health Institute states that the proposal to ease measures takes into account the current level of the novel coronavirus in Montenegro and neighbouring countries, as well as consultations with representatives of the tourism industry and the association of hoteliers and caterers.

Residents of the United States of America, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as citizens of our country who have resided in these countries may enter Montenegro under the following conditions:

1. To have a negative PCR result for a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) or a positive coronavirus antibody test result (SARS-CoV-2) of the IgG class obtained by ELISA serologic test;

2. That the tests were issued by a registered laboratory and are not older than 72 hours at the time of entry into Montenegro;

3. That in the period of 15 days before entering Montenegro they did not stay in any of the countries from which entry into Montenegro is not allowed.

Obligation to have the test referred to in paragraph 2, 3 and 4 of this Article shall not apply to children up to the age of five.

Residents of countries from which entry to Montenegro is not allowed may enter Montenegro from these countries (the USA, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, BiH and North Macedonia) under the same conditions as residents of these countries if they have resided in one of these countries at least 15 days before entering Montenegro.

Given the stabilisation of the epidemiological situation, the National Coordination Body has made a decision to extend the working hours of catering facilities (restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, hotel restaurants, etc.) until 1:00 a.m.

All measures will take effect on 15 August 2020 at midnight.

The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases urges the citizens of Montenegro and foreigners residing in our country to adhere to all epidemiological measures.
